**GRADE 🥾🥾🥾 Level 3.5/5** —— **📕ABOUT** Join us for a **peaceful, green London-edge escape along the Six Woods Trail**. 👉🏻A point-to-point hike that links six different woodlands 🌳between **Ruislip Manor and Northwood Hills Underground Stations (Zone6)** This route is all about calm nature time: Forest tracks, quiet nature reserves, open clearings and gentle countryside paths with the soothing feeling of being far from the city even though we’re still on the Tube network. —— **🌟HIGHLIGHTS** * 🌲 **Ruislip Woods National Nature Reserve** – One of London’s most important ancient woodland areas, with a real “deep forest” feel, seasonal colours and loads of birdlife. * 🍃 **Mad Bess Wood** – A quieter, tucked-away stretch where the path feels properly secluded—great for that calm, mindful hiking vibe. * 🌳 **Bayhurst Wood** – Classic Chiltern-edge woodland atmosphere: soft trails, tall trees and a lovely sense of being enveloped by nature. * 🌿 **Old Park Wood Nature Reserve** – A beautiful reserve section with a wilder feel and rich habitat, perfect for slow moments and wildlife spotting. * 🌲 **Bishop’s Wood** – A gorgeous woodland network with winding paths and plenty of “choose-your-own-adventure” trail vibes (with the main route keeping us on track). * 🍂 **Copse Wood** – A charming final woodland chapter: smaller, peaceful and a lovely way to finish before we return to civilisation at Northwood Hills. * 🦌 **Wildlife spotting** – This whole corridor is known for wildlife, so keep your eyes open for woodland birds and other surprises. * 🚤 **Grand Union Canal nearby** – Calm waterside atmosphere on the western side of the route with amenities close by. —— **📖SUMMARY** 🥾23\.1km \(16mi\) \| Ascent 490m \| Descent 470m \| Max Elevation 106m **🚊Train - London Underground Only** 😁This is a *Friendly Oyster or contactless (bank card) trip*. Dappled sunlight, leafy canopies, quiet ponds, and long winding trails create a rhythm of their own. Have you ever wanted to partake in hikes where you get exposed to new areas with luscious forms of nature, some amazing views and possibly some hidden gems? If so, this may be the right event for you. Welcome to another Hiking event where all of this is possible. This is the opportunity to form friendships, discover a different perspective of London, improve your fitness, embrace nature but also feel great about yourself. With this particular Hike, we’ll be hiking from Greenford to South Kenton. We’ll be traversing along the grand union canal over Horsenden hill and through Harrow-on-the-hill but also make new discoveries too. This is also part of the capital ring which is a 78 mile pathway split into 15 hiking routes. This is section 9. If you want to be part of the journey, feel free to join us. Have you ever wanted to be immersed within either the city or nature in the form of a walk, socialise at the same time and chill out in the park or on some luscious greenery? If so, this may be the right walk for you. Welcome to the first of the HYBRID events where you have the opportunity to explore all the pathways I’ll execute and finish off at any park or location with luscious greeneries. 

With this particular event, we will be doing a mini stroll through Regents park and then chill at Primrose Hill for the scenic views, the ambiance and the setting sun. Feel free to bring your picnic and anything else you wish. A mixture of traversing through nature, discovering new regions and then settling at an amazing park. Come go with the flow and join us for this fabulous 8.5 mile walk by the delightful River Itchen in Hampshire ! Please arrive by 9.20am to buy group return tickets to Eastleigh for the train at 9.53am that arrives at Eastleigh at 11.18am. Train ticket : Eastleigh return Or you may decide to drive. The walk shall commence by 11.30am. Please bring packed lunch, water, snacks etc plus waterproof jacket and walking shoes, boots or trainers. We shall stop off at a pub around lunchtime. At the end of the walk you will have the chance to explore historical Winchester. You should have appropriate and adequate insurance for this type of activity and be able to walk 2.5 miles per hour. Join us as we visit the Tower of London and immerse yourself in the striking contrast between opulent royal treasures and a dark history of imprisonment and executions. We will see the dazzling crown jewels, yeoman warders (Beefeaters), the white tower, the ravens, the bloody tower and medieval palace. Tickets are priced at £37 pp and which can be paid via bank transfer by 2nd July 2026 (message me for payment details). As an optional add on we will thereafter be dining at a local restaurant to enjoy a meal and socialise.
