Join us for a great afternoon full of fun games involving acting, improvisation, and theater! No experience or acting skills required. All you need is imagination! Anyone who is interested in trying something new is welcome. It's also a great way to meet people, or to practice your English. After the event we usually go for drinks and/or dinner together. **What do we do in this event?** We will play all sorts of games that involve acting and improvisation. Many of them you might know from the TV show "Whose Line is it Anyway?". This is just to help recover some of the expenses of the meetup account. We're hosting this event only for fun and we do not intend to make any money out of it. You can pay in cash or by Bizum when you arrive at the event. **In what language will this event be?** All games will be played in English. Of course, we do not expect you to speak perfect English, but without a basic level of English it will be hard to participate (if you're not sure about your level of English, just come along and try). **Can I come to just watch?** Sure! If you don't want to participate, or if you're not sure yet, then you're welcome to just come along and watch. **What do I need to bring or wear?** You don't need to bring or wear anything special. However, it is advisable to wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move easily. **Do I need to prepare anything?** Nope! The whole point of improvisation is that you can't prepare anything :) **If I want to join, do I need to sign up?** Yes, please! Even if there are more than enough places, it is very important that you still sign up for this event. This is for two reasons: 1\. If not enough people sign up then we may have to cancel the event\. 2\. The more people sign up\, the more attractive this event becomes for other people to also sign up\. Anyway, if you forget to sign up you're still more than welcome to join :) **Where do we meet?** We meet in the Parc de la Ciutadella. If you're coming from the Arc de Triomf and enter the park, turn left directly after the entrance. You will see a big industrial art piece (see photos). Keep walking until you passed it. We meet right behind this art piece. When we arrive at the meeting point we usually upload a selfie to the photos section of this event, so you can recognize us. We also usually bring a small A4-sized meetup sign. **What happens if it rains?** In case of rain we will move the event to the Mercat Sant Antoni, where we can play under a roof. In that case, please keep an eye on the comments section of this event for further details. **Can I suggest some games to play?** Sure! If you know any fun games that are related to improv theater and that you would like to play, just let the organizers know before the start of the event. Improv 101 is your invitation to explore the fundamentals of improvisation in a supportive, playful environment—no experience needed. Standup Bootcamp w/Luke Messina

Stand-up curious? Stand-up Bootcamp is a 8-week intensive course where beginning level students will learn the fundamentals of stand-up comedy, exploring joke structure and style, developing their comedic persona, and crafting a 5 minute set to be performed at the culmination of class. Luke created the perfect environment to learn and grow: friendly, encouraging and rapidly progressing. Without the course I would never have gone on stage, by the end of it I was excited to do it -Sebastian Luke is a good teacher who gives constructive feedback all the time, and animates others to participate and give feedback as well. He made sure that it's an engaging environment and safe for everybody to try out themselves and new/different material - Thomas A great way to get your feet wet in the fascinating world of stand up comedy. Practical, but always with the necessary background, the lessons from Luke and the homework are really great in getting into a rhythm to train your comedy muscle. A great build-up towards a first 5-minute performance, or for some people with a couple of trials on the clock, a great tool for developing into a more complete comedian. - Wouter 'I would highly recommend the class. It is very useful to learn the main concepts of writing but to me the key was working together with other colleagues to share and learn about each one's set.
