Join us and end your week right with a laid-back hour of basketball shooting games, and community. This group is for LGBTQ+ folks and Allies of all skill levels. Whether you’ve never picked up a basketball or you’ve been shooting for years, you’re welcome here. This isn’t about competition it’s about connection, laughter, movement, and enjoying a lunch hour together. Playing basketball shooting games together was one of our favorite traditions, and creating this group is my way of carrying that joy forward while building new community. Come Sing Show Tunes!

This event consists of an informal concert in which the performers are all of us! We'll take turns singing Broadway show tunes. All musical levels are welcome, whether you're an aspiring musical theater star or just someone who belts out show tunes in the shower. If you feel shy about singing a solo, it's okay to come and listen. We'll also do some group singing. Please think ahead and pick one or two solos you'd enjoy singing (this is not a firm commitment, you can change your mind if you get the jitters). Depending on how many people choose to sing, you'll either get to sing one or both of your songs. We don't usually have an accompanist, so after you pick your song(s), you can search for a suitable accompaniment on YouTube. Let's Improvise: Improv Dojo - Oakland Improv Class

The Improv Dojo is a place to do improv. It is a chance to play, explore and develop. We explore scene work, theater games and related acting exercises. It is part drop-in class and part practice session. The Improv Dojo is for improvisors ready to explore . Beginning and experienced improvisors welcome. Dojo attendees include Pan troupe members, Dojo regulars and people brand new to improv. Whether you're a beginner looking to try improv for the first time or a more seasoned player looking for a chance to play - the Improv Dojo is for you. One of the best open mics in the whole Bay Area!!! Whether you have something to share: a song, a comedy sketch, a poem, spoken words, an interesting story, a dance, a magic act, etc... There no better place to share your creativity to others! (yes, honing your instrument playing, your vocal, etc) Or just to come and enjoy the free show and make new friends! Win/win.

Improv Jam in Person

We warm up with improv games, then do improvised scenes with various partners. This is a fun and supportive environment open to all. This jam takes place at Montclair Presbyterian. The church parking lot is at Grisborne Ave (Western end) and Thornhill Dr. There is street parking closer to the church entrance. There is no public transportation to Montclair on Sunday. Message the host to arrange a ride from the 40th St. BART station. There is a 7-Eleven, a gas station and a sandwich shop within a couple of blocks. This event happens once a month on the third Sunday. Cost is $20 sliding scale. Limited to 16 people.
