New faces are always welcome. Grab a drink, join the conversation, and stay as long as you’d like.

Hackathon: Humanizing The Prototype

# Build a PAL: Tavus x Lovable Hackathon (with ProductTank SF) Spend one day building a PAL, a new kind of application you talk to, one that sees you, hears you, remembers you, and gets to know you over time, then ship it live inside a real app. ## 🏆 $5,000 in prizes * 🥇 **1st place: $3,000** * 🥈 **2nd place: $1,500** * 🥉 **3rd place: $500** Every winning team also takes home a special credits package from Lovable and Tavus, so the PAL you start here is one you can keep building. ## ⏳ 100 seats, and they are going fast This room is capped at 100 builders and it is filling up quickly. Register now and complete the short screening form to hold your spot. We use your answers to build balanced teams, so everyone walks out having shipped something they are proud of. ## What you'll build This is where PALmaker meets Lovable. You describe the PAL you want in plain words, and PALmaker builds the whole thing, no code and no settings to crawl through, while Lovable's rapid UI generation builds and ships the app it lives in. By the time the session ends, you have a real PAL at a live, published URL. A PAL is not a face that talks at you. It is the whole thing: perception so it can see and hear you, memory so it holds onto what matters, judgment and personality so it knows when to push and when to listen, with a face and a voice so it meets you the way a person would. That is the difference between a tool you operate and a counterpart you talk to, and it is what you get to build today. ## ✨ A glimpse of what's possible This is not a menu to build from. It is a handful of glimpses, just enough to feel the range before you make your own. Picture a DJ that reads the energy of the room, takes requests by voice, and talks back between tracks like a real host, living inside a music app. Imagine a sidekick that wakes up when you open your laptop, sees what you are working on, remembers where you got stuck yesterday, notices when you are frustrated, and picks the work back up with you. Picture a sales rep that joins your Google Meet, pulls up the right slide at the right moment, reads the room as the conversation turns, handles the objections, and runs the call end to end. Imagine a coach, for a language or a sport or the interview you have next week, that remembers every session, adapts to you over the weeks, and reaches out first when it is time to practice. Picture a character out of a game you can actually sit and talk to, fully in personality, who remembers the last conversation the two of you had. None of these is the assignment. The assignment is whatever you can picture. Build that. ## 🎁 What you get * **Tavus and Lovable credits for every builder**, so your team can build and publish during the event. * **A special credits package from Lovable and Tavus for every winning team**, on top of the cash. * **Food and beverages** throughout the day. * **A content station on the floor.** Our team shoots content of you and your build live during the event, then sends it to you the week after, ready to share. * **On-call experts** to unblock you the moment you get stuck. * SWAG :) ## 🎒 What to bring * A charged laptop * Headphones ## Agenda * **10:30 to 11:00 AM, Arrival and team forming.** Grab food and a drink, meet other builders, and form squads of 2 to 5. * **11:00 to 11:30 AM, The Spark.** Welcome from ProductTank SF, a Tavus and PALmaker intro, and a live demo. * **11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, The Build.** Start building your PAL with PALmaker and Lovable. A PAL is something you talk to, so build for real back-and-forth, not a one-way loop. * **12:30 to 1:00 PM, Fuel Up.** Food and beverages provided. * **1:00 to 3:45 PM, The Build Continues.** Push to a working, deployed PAL. * **3:45 to 4:30 PM, judging starts.** * **430 to 5 PM top 3 winners- Show and Tell and Prizes:** two-minute demos of your published PALs, wrap-up, and winner announcements. ## With thanks to our hosts * **Tavus**, the human computing company. We teach machines the art of being human, so talking to one can feel as natural as talking to a friend or coworker. PALmaker is where anyone builds a PAL, the whole thing, without writing a line of code. [tavus.io](https://tavus.io/?utm_source=luma) * **Lovable**, rapid UI generation that lets your team build and publish a working app in a single session. [lovable.dev](https://lovable.dev/?utm_source=luma) * **ProductTank SF**, the community bringing product builders, thinkers, and operators together. ## Register Seats are limited to 100 and going fast. Register now and complete the short screening form to hold your spot.

How to Build Products That Stand Out in the Age of AI

How to Build Products That Stand Out in the Age of AI

\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\* ***[TICKET PURCHASE REQUIRED](https://www.vlab.org/events/future-of-drug-discovery/)****:* https://www.vlab.org/events/founders-series-how-to-build-products-that-stand-out-in-the-age-of-ai/ \*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\* **How to Build Products That Stand Out in the Age of AI:** **Is Generative AI Destroying Differentiation?** Building new products has never been easier. But there’s a catch: it is becoming harder than ever to build products that stand out. Generative AI is dramatically lowering the time and the cost required to create and launch products, flooding almost every category with new entrants. However, this huge influx is having unintended consequences, with an increasing number of similar-looking products offering similar-looking features. In many markets, the ability to create is far outpacing the ability to differentiate. Meanwhile, the cost to acquire new customers is escalating rapidly, with global ad spending projected to surpass $1 trillion this year. As these conditions continue to evolve, winning customers will be defined by a company’s ability to embed differentiation, customer value, and trust into its product from day one. In this special Founders’ Series event, Lifang He, author of *Brand Power Built In*, and Stephanie Zeppa, partner at Sheppard Mullin Richter and Hampton, will share their thoughts on how founders and entrepreneurs can avoid costly mistakes and make high-stakes decisions with confidence. * Beyond innovation, what else do you need to differentiate your product? * Why should your brand be an integral part of your product offering? * How can you use positioning to guide what you build, not just how you market it? In addition to the “fireside chat” discussion, a few select founders will have the opportunity to get in the “hot seat” and receive some individual counseling about their unique situations. Join us on June 25 to hear more about differentiation in the age of AI — and get a free signed copy of Lifang’s book. *** **Speaker** * **[Lifang He](https://www.linkedin.com/in/lifanghe/)**, author and brand strategist, [LifangHe.me](https://www.lifanghe.me/) **Moderator** * **[Stephanie Zeppa](https://www.linkedin.com/in/stephanie-zeppa-1b6a707/)**, partner, [Sheppard Mullin Richter and Hampton LLP](https://www.sheppardmullin.com/) *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-\* Important: [Ticket purchase is required](https://www.vlab.org/events/future-of-drug-discovery/) for this in-person event: https://www.vlab.org/events/founders-series-how-to-build-products-that-stand-out-in-the-age-of-ai/ If you RSVP to this Meetup but do NOT purchase a ticket, you will not be able to attend this event. *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-\* **In-Person Event** San Francisco, CA (Location details will be sent to registered attendees.) *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-\* **Ticket Includes Food and Drink**
