Hiking the Iconic Lake District
Fri, Oct 2, 4:00 PMOne of the most picturesque parts of the UK Hosted by the *HOFNAR team,* this is going to be EPIC! Make your own way, or join the HOFNAR minibus on Friday morning out of Hammersmith (or anywhere en route) We’ll meet up at the 4\* [Crow Park Hotel](https://www.crowpark.co.uk/en-GB/homepage) on the Friday afternoon / evening and (depending on what time everyone gets there) head for a stroll into Keswick and get dinner in a local hostelry. That evening we’ll put together our final plan of action, depending on the weather and what our guides suggest. But this is what we are currently thinking… – We are looking to do a fairly chunky hike on the Saturday. Route suggestions are welcome, but we are thinking of taking on England’s highest peak – Scafell Pike. It’s a classic, but it’s so good; we’ll be looking to avoid the crowds, find some spectacular views and go wild swimming in remote tarns. – After breakfast on Sunday morning we’ll do the slightly easier going, yet super rewarding Catbells hike. (*We don’t have a qualified guide for this low level hike. Please do bear this in mind before booking.*) In the afternoon, we might grab SUPs and go for a cheeky paddle on Derwent water before heading home. – We’ll leave the Lake District at about 4pm, looking to be back in London for last trains. It will be a weekend of adventure, laughs, fitness, exploring, new friends… just so much fun, and definitely something to talk about come Monday morning when people say to you, ‘get up to anything interesting this weekend?!’ **Included in the price:** – 4\* [Crow Park Hotel](https://www.crowpark.co.uk/en-GB/homepage), 2 person private ensuite twin room – if you are travelling solo, we’ll match you with somebody of the same sex) – Breakfast each morning – Fully qualified mountain guide for the Scafell Pike hike – HOFNAR host **Extras to pay:** – if you’d like to join the HOFNAR minibus from London (leaving at 11am on Friday) the price is £100pp. You can jump on the bus anywhere along the route. – SUP hire (£25) – lunch / di**o Bring:** – Waterproofs (if you do not have the guide may not let you hike with us) – Suitable footware with good grips (if you do not have the guide may not let you hike with us, if you are not sure have a chat with us in advance) – *NO JEANS / DENIM ON THE HIKE* – Rucksack – Swimsuit – Trainers you don’t mind getting wet / slightly beaten up in the lake

Nordic Walking Brockwell Park
Fri, Sep 25, 9:00 AMReady to get outside? Our Friday morning Nordic Walk in Brockwell Park is back! At this moment we can meet with up to 30 people (of more than two households) to do outdoor exercise and walks. However, i like to keep our exercise groups small, so I have set the maximum participants at 12. For now this walk is for our experienced Nordic Walkers only, who already used to Nordic Walk with us regularly before Covid 19 kept us indoors, and who have their own Nordic Walking poles. As this session is outdoors, we will not ask you to wear a face mask, but we do ask you to keep 2 meters apart. Some of our walkers might be immune compromised or more at risk, so please help us keep everyone safe! Please do not come to the session and stay at home if: - you know you have been in contact - in the last 2 weeks- with someone with symptoms of possible Covid, or if you have been in contact with someone who tested positive. - you have any of the following symptoms: (new) Loss of smell/taste, Persistent cough, Fatigue, Loss of appetite, Skin rash, Hives, Fever, Severe muscle pain, Shortness of breath, Diarrhoea, Delirium, Abdominal pain, Chest pain, Hoarse voice, Eye soreness, Sore or painful throat, Nausea or vomiting, Headache, Dizziness or light headedness We meet by the Blackbird bakery in Herne Hill, between the station and the park. Session Price: £10 per session, £89 for a 10-session card or £70 unlimited sessions per month. Session cards and Pay Monthly can be used in any of our outdoor walks or indoor Zoom classes sessions (except for the Parkinson's sessions). Pay What Works: The price shown above is the “true” value of the session that best reflects the work I put into preparing and leading your session. However, I understand that not everyone can afford to pay full price, and I don’t want that to stop you from joining us. In an effort to find a balance between more financial accessibility and sustainable pricing, I now offer a “Pay What Works” model. This allows for financial flexibility while still valuing and respecting the work and energy I provide in creating and delivering these classes. Then send an email to ailien@fitandhappyoutdoors.com with the heading “INVOICE please”- followed by “FAHO 1” to pay full price as quoted below, “FAHO 2”, for 20% off, or “FAHO 3” for 50% off. Please do tell me if you want to pay for 10 sessions, or if you’d like to pay monthly. I prefer payment by bank transfer, but if that is not possible you could pay in cash. No cheques please, the queues by the banks are just too long. We walk in all safe weather conditions – if a walk is cancelled, we will contact you to let you know. Please check for text messages or Meetup messages before leaving home!
London Drop Nothing Accountability Circle
Fri, Sep 25, 5:00 PMWe are hosting an informal meetup for anyone currently juggling a lot of plates and looking for a bit of structure to help get things done. The London Drop Nothing Accountability Circle is a space to step away from your to-do list for an hour, share what you are working on, and get the support you need to actually follow through on your priorities. Whether you are managing a side project, clearing a backlog, or just trying to stay on top of daily tasks, this session is designed to help you clear the noise and focus. This event is for people who want to move past the cycle of planning and start making consistent progress. It is not about networking or formal presentations; it is simply about showing up, being honest about your current challenges, and finding a rhythm with a group of like-minded people. We will spend some time checking in on our goals, identifying the next immediate steps, and holding each other to those commitments. If you have been meaning to tackle those lingering tasks but keep pushing them to the next day, please join us. It is always easier to stay on track when you have others checking in, and we would love to have you join the circle. Please RSVP if you can make it so we can keep an eye on numbers for the space.
