Ultimate Frisbee in the Park - summer edition

Hi everyone. We'll meet and play a relaxed game of ultimate in Volkspark Rehberge if the weather cooperates. Our games focus on having great team play, where the teams work together to advance the disk down the field. It's more important to work well together as a team than have a few star players get a point with lucky shots. For this reason, players of all skill levels (especially those who have never played) are welcome to join Bring plenty of water, shoes you can run in and comfortable clothing that can get a bit dirty. Although we're an established group, newcomers are always welcome. After the game we try to spend some time together and have fun. Finding us: We meet in this big grassy area, it's a short bike ride from the subway stop Rehberge on the U6 or Amrumer Strasse on the U9. It can be a bit tricky to find the first time, so we've got a few methods to help out (don't trust the meetup map pin, it often shows some point in the park, not the exact spot where we are) 1. Bouldering Session

Have you always wanted to learn bouldering but never had the right company? Or are you an experienced boulderer who just wants to find boulder-buddies? If yes, this is the right event for you. We are going to meet inside "urban apes Basement Boulderstudio", close to S Anhalter Bahnhof, also not far from Potsdamer Platz. If you have never been there, you will need to sign up with them, which will take a bit of time. After that, **you can find us on the couches near the lockers (not in front of the reception), next to a red smiley**. When you enter the actual gym, enter the hall by turning left immediately - you are walking towards them. We will start warming up around 11:10, so everyone has enough time to arrive and get changed before that. ***\*\*\**** *Spots are limited, so please update your RSVP at least 24 hours in advance if you won't be joining. **NO-SHOWs ARE NOT COOL \*\*\**** We enter the gym at 11:00, if you are late, you will need to look for us inside. IMPORTANT: they only accept cards as a payment method. No cash. One day ticket will cost you 13,90 EUR (10,90 EUR if you are a student, free if Urban Sports Club). **What to bring: well, first of all, a good mood.** But you could also bring * climbing shoes if you have any. Bicycle tour to Belrin's Oldest Steam Engine* + Pumpstation.

#### **The waterworks tour !** #### **Guided bike tour of the water story of Belrin - with a exclusive access to the Ökowerk Nature Conservation Centre Pump Station.** **Time:** 16:00 - depending on start point **Theme:** Cycle Tour + Water Infrastructure + Industrial Heritage + Nature **Distance:** 13 km (with optional loop back to Berlin = 35km). Dear Bike and Hike Group As part of the Festival der Berliner Industriekultur I will be leading a cycle to the Okowerk Pumping station in Grunewald on the 18th September. This amazing old steam pumping station - the oldest \*in-situ steam engine in Berlin - will be opened up just for us and we will get the opportunity to see round one of the first modern water pumping facilities in the city. Beyond this we will visit the Drachenburg to look out over the Havel river and discuss the importance of water transport, purity and filtration in the story of Berlin's growth as a world city. Later we will look at the beautiful Wannsee Strandbad and talk about leisure and water in the Wagner's dream of the garden city in Berlin. Late-summer afternoon hike (18 km, fast pace :-))

We will meet at Friedrichshagen S-Bahn station (on the platform, east exit) and follow this trail: https://www.komoot.com/de-de/tour/3242541424. If you need to contact other participants during the hike (for example, to find out where to meet us if you are running late), please install Signal now and use the Signal group link that I will send to all participants via private message three hours before the hike. This timing is intended to prevent non-participants from misusing the link for unwanted advertising, which has happened in the past. Signal allows us to share our locations during the hike without involuntarily forwarding this information to the intelligence services of authoritarian or non-authoritarian states, but unfortunately the location sharing function does not include tracking, i.e. no continuous updates. Whether you've never exercised before or you're looking for a new challenge, this class is designed to help you build strength and confidence at your own pace. Hi, I'm Maroof 👋 I've been practicing calisthenics for over six years and one of the things I love most about it is that it brings people together. Watching people achieve movements they never thought possible, whether it's their first push-up, their first pull-up or their first handstand, is incredibly rewarding. What to expect Each session includes a guided warm-up, beginner-friendly strength exercises using your bodyweight, progressions for pushing, pulling, squatting and core strength, optional introductions to calisthenics skills as you progress and a fun team game at the end (with a small prize for the winners 😁) Every exercise has easier and harder variations so you can work at a level that suits you. There is no pressure to keep up with anyone else. Who is this for? ✅ Complete beginners ✅ Anyone wanting to get stronger using bodyweight exercises ✅ People looking for a friendly outdoor fitness community ✅ Anyone curious about calisthenics You do not need to be able to do a pull-up, push-up or any advanced movements before joining. **The Stammtisch will be at “FLAX”** in Prenzlauer Berg. We don't have an agenda for this event. Instead, it's just an opportunity to meet other members in a nice social atmosphere, and to take a mid-week break. We try to watch out for new people, but if no one greets you, please just ask someone. We're quite a large group, so usually make up most of the people at the Bar. Don't be shy, we're a friendly group! This event repeats every two weeks.
