NYC *More Than Hike* One Day Trip
Welcoming you no matter if you are from **Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, or local to NYC**! We invite you to a day of togetherness and absolute celebration on an **epic one-day urban hike**. We will explore the best of the city, with plenty of curated stops at different food and drink places to relax, chat, and recharge in between.
We have organized this trip many times before at different locations, and many times came to New York even to celebrate *New 2026 Year*, to walk, and to explore. **That night was amazing**! We do it often—really often! So why not give it a try and **JOIN** us for this ultimate Saturday day trip?
What level is this? *Worried other hiking groups left you behind before?* Don't worry—we don't force anyone and we never leave anyone behind. __Most people have sedentary jobs, and we don't plan to run a marathon__. You can start with another Sunday hike with us, but don't forget to purchase your AMTRAK ticket for the trip now! In a few days, it could cost twice as much. You can always refund it. We walk at a perfectly balanced, middle-of-the-pack speed for everyone. Just dress comfortably according to the weather, wear your favorite walking shoes, bring a bag with extra water, and a warm layer for the trip back home at nighttime. You can also throw in a __small umbrella just in case__.
_There are running clubs out there that sprint and hit a beer afterparty. There are rugged hikes in the wild with afterparties later._ **But this is exclusive. This time, we are invading New York City for a legendary day trip to experience an exclusive day in one of the world's greatest capitals.**

**Morning & Midday Exploration**

Board Amtrak Keystone Service 664 at William H. Gray III 30th St. Station. Relax and enjoy the views of the Northeast Corridor as you transition from Philly to Manhattan.
*12:49 PM → 1:05 PM | Arrival & Coordination*
[HIGHLIGHT]For people who will join us in NYC:[/HIGHLIGHT] Arrive at the stunning, sun-drenched Moynihan Train Hall. Use this brief window to orient yourself, use the facilities, and meet up with the group under the main clock.
*1:05 PM → 2:40 PM | High Line Urban Hike*
A short walk from Penn Station leads to the High Line entrance. Walk the elevated linear park early to beat the midday crowds, taking in the mixture of wild-style greenery, contemporary art installations, and Chelsea neighborhood architecture as you head south.
*2:40 PM → 2:55 PM | Gansevoort Beach*
Exit the High Line at its southern terminus into the Meatpacking District. Spend 15 minutes checking out Manhattan’s first public beach, enjoying the river views and the sandy oasis.
*2:55 PM → 3:40 PM | Little Island Exploration*
Walk just a couple of minutes over to Pier 55. Explore this futuristic, undulating artificial island park. Climb up to the overlooks for panoramic views of the Hudson River and lower Manhattan.
*3:40 PM → 3:55 PM | Transit to Chelsea Market*
Walk back up 10th Ave or through the Meatpacking streets to enter the iconic Chelsea Market.
*3:55 PM → 5:10 PM | Market Lunch & Recharge*
Indulge in a "choose-your-own-adventure" meal. Grab gourmet burgers, tacos, flaky pastries, and a craft coffee or mid-day beverage. The industrial-chic atmosphere provides the perfect fuel for the afternoon.
**Afternoon & Evening: Lower Manhattan to Central Park**
*5:10 PM → 5:30 PM | Transit: Chelsea to World Trade Center*
Walk to the 14th St / 8th Ave Subway Station. Take the Downtown A or C train to Chambers St / World Trade Center.
*5:30 PM → 5:50 PM | 9/11 Memorial Pools*
Spend 20 minutes in quiet reflection at the twin reflecting pools, standing in the footprints of the original Twin Towers, surrounded by the largest man-made waterfalls in North America.
*5:50 PM → 6:10 PM | One World Trade Center*
Walk over to the base of One World Trade Center (Freedom Tower). Spend 20 minutes taking in the sheer scale of the building from the plaza and exploring the stunning architecture of the neighboring Oculus.
*6:10 PM → 6:25 PM | Transit to Brooklyn Bridge Promenade*
Walk east for about 15 minutes past City Hall Park to reach the pedestrian entrance of the Brooklyn Bridge Promenade.
*6:25 PM → 7:00 PM | Walking the Brooklyn Bridge*
Cross the iconic suspension bridge on the pedestrian walkway. Heading east gives you great photo opportunities of the Brooklyn skyline and the historic towers ahead of you.
*7:00 PM → 7:25 PM | Pebble Beach Relaxation*
Head down into DUMBO to Pebble Beach. Stay for 25 minutes to sit on the stone tiers, relax your feet, and enjoy the classic, postcard-perfect views 🌇 of the Manhattan skyline and the Manhattan Bridge.
*7:25 PM → 7:50 PM | Brooklyn Bridge Park & Brooklyn Heights*
Stroll through the waterfront paths of Brooklyn Bridge Park, then head up the hill into historic Brooklyn Heights to admire the classic brownstones and leafy streets. It's the cherry 🍒 on the trip day ☺️
*7:50 PM → 8:20 PM | Subway Express: Clark St to Central Park*
Head into the Clark St Subway Station in Brooklyn Heights. Take the Uptown 2 or 3 Express train straight up to the 72nd St Station, placing you right at the edge of Central Park.
*8:20 PM → 8:50 PM | Quick Central Park & Midtown Stretch*
Experience the park during the beautiful transition into twilight. Take a brisk stroll past Sheep Meadow or Bethesda Terrace as we begin the final trek back toward Midtown, catching the neon glow of Times Square or hopping back on the subway heading toward Moynihan Train Hall.
**Night Departure & Return**
*8:50 PM → 9:19 PM | Pre-Departure Buffer*
Arrive back at Moynihan Train Hall early. Check the departure boards and grab any last-minute snacks or water for the ride home.
*9:19 PM → 10:51 PM | Return: NYC to Philadelphia*
Board Amtrak Northeast Regional 167 back to Philly. Wind down and review your photos as you head back to 30th St. Station.
