Improv Jam Session | Beginner-Friendly Game Day

Improv Jam Session | Beginner-Friendly Game Day

Sun, Jun 14, 9:00 PM
From Have Fun Make Friends SF
4.9

Join us for a fun day of improv games! This is a free, beginner-friendly jam session (not a formal class). It will be our third time getting together and we’ll have 2 fabulous co-hosts. We also have some ideas how to make it a little less chaotic (thanks, Andrew!) As always, nobody is forced to participate but highly encouraged to jump in and play. **What to expect:** * Improv - short for improvisational theater - is a form of live performance where characters, dialogue, and scenes are created in the moment. * We’ll have a mix of warm-up games, learn about character development, physical comedy, and storytelling. * Depending on audience participation, we’re planning about an 1.5-2 hour session. **Where and when:** * Sunday, June 14th - meeting at 2:00pm, games start at 2:15pm. * William McKinley Monument in NoPa: https://maps.app.goo.gl/gSDmnZA9md6r5orU9 * We’re planning to use the space in front of the monument as our “stage”. If you’re still reading (whoo whoo), here is a Wiki rabbit hole about improv: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Improvisational_theatre Come play some games with us!

First Friday Yappy Hour at Marina Green

Fri, Jun 5, 11:30 PM
From San Francisco Yorkshire Terrier & Dog Friends Meetup Group
4.7

Calling all Dog Lovers in San Francisco! Let your furry friends make new connections, romp around, and have a tail-wagging good time at First Friday Yappy Hour at the western end of Marina Green (where Marina Blvd and Scott St intersect). This is a perfect opportunity to socialize and engage in some dog-friendly activities! Please note that Marina Green is an open and unfenced park (not a fully enclosed off-leash dog park like Francisco was) and that dogs are technically required to be on leash at all times. On the other hand, there is plenty of free parking! Don't miss out on this paws-itively delightful event and create lasting memories with your furry companions. Join us for a delightful time at the First Friday Yappy Hour!

Crab, Seafood & Garlic Noodle Dinner @ Thanh Long Vietnamese Restaurant

Crab, Seafood & Garlic Noodle Dinner @ Thanh Long Vietnamese Restaurant

Sun, Jun 14, 12:00 AM
From San Francisco Foodies
4.8

Pescatarians and Carbo-holics unite, it's time for SF Foodies to return to Thanh Long, San Francisco's iconic crab and garlic noodle destination. Courtesy of their website: "[Thanh Long](https://www.thanhlongsf.com/) is the original home of *AN’s Famous Garlic Noodles®* and a beloved destination for Vietnamese cuisine in San Francisco. Established in 1971, this family-run restaurant on Judah Street became the city’s very first Vietnamese restaurant—introducing generations of locals and travelers to bold, unforgettable flavors. Thanh Long is also the birthplace of House of AN, the now-celebrated culinary empire built by the An Family, whose legacy began in this humble, oceanside neighborhood. Founded by family matriarch Diana An and later elevated by the visionary *Chef Helene An*, Thanh Long is where signature dishes like *Garlic Noodles with Tiger Prawns*, and *Whole-Roasted Dungeness Crab™* first came to life. It’s also the original home of the famed Secret Kitchen™. Still located in the Outer Sunset after over 50 years, Thanh Long continues to delight with its warm hospitality, cult-following, and deep-rooted culinary history. For those seeking the best garlic noodles in San Francisco or an iconic roasted crab experience in a casual neighborhood setting, Thanh Long remains a must-visit destination. A true hidden gem, steeped in story and soul, where every dish reflects the heart of Vietnamese-American cuisine." **Administrative Trivia** Table for 8. This event has limited spots for open RSVP. Dinner pricing is listed as $$ (around $100) per person, *crab* is market price, sides, beverage are ala carte.
