Book Club - The Psychology of Money

Book Club - The Psychology of Money

Thu, Jul 9, 12:30 AM
From Cafe Finance

We will kick start the first event with the discussion of the book "The Psychology of Money". It will be at least 8 weeks series. Once we start reading it, we will adjust it depending on everyone's pace and participation. Please read at least two chapters. For the first event, it will be the introduction and chapter 1. We will have wrap party at the last session of this book. **Agenda** 5:30 \~ 6:00 pm Sharing and Networking 6:00 \~ 7:30 pm Book Discussion 7:30 \~ 8:00 pm Conclusion & Final thought **About the book** Doing well with money isn't necessarily about what you know. It's about how you behave. And behavior is hard to teach, even to really smart people. Money - investing, personal finance, and business decisions - is typically taught as math-based field, where data and formulas tell us exactly what to do. But in the real world people don't make financial decisions on a spreadsheet. They make them at the dinner table, or in a meeting room, where personal history, your own unique view of the world, ego, pride, marketing, and odd incentives are scrambled together. In the Psychology of Money, award-winning author Morgan Housel shares 19 short stories exploring the strange ways people think about money and teaches you how to mkae better sense of one of life's most important topics.
