There are two accessible restrooms but bring plenty of water because there are no drinking fountains. The trail is full sun with occasional shade and is mostly flat with just a few steep sections. Hikers and walkers in this area can also visit nearby Mile Rock Beach, Fort Miley, Palace of the Legion of Honor Museum, a USS San Francisco Memorial, the visitor center, and more.
