Welcome to the Burbank Chess Social! We meet every Monday in McCambridge Park! Join us for either casual//competitive chess games---outside in a beautiful park! There are usually 18 or so of us, and most of us are entertaining enough. One of the things that makes this club unique, is the occasional grilling we do! Scrumptious food may be included, as members often bring food to share. DTLA Chess Club

Welcome! The DTLA Chess Club is a lovely gathering every Sunday afternoon! This casual club is completely free and open to everyone! For three years, the DTLA Chess Club has been meeting at the Il Cafe, a lovely coffee shop with food and beverage options. (they also have beer/wine) As this event is held on the outside patio, on street level, dress appropriate for the weather. It is a fantastic and friendly group that has the feel of the famous New York Central Park chess scene. You may even be lucky to meet some celebrity chess players! Drop in whenever, grab some games, and enjoy the beautiful Downtown architecture! It's day after Independence Day Celebrations, so we're making it 1:30 pm to make sure everyone has time to wake up!** Come thrive & vibe! Rejuvenate body & mind with awareness & connection with yourself and others, and a gentle yet invigorating Pilates-breath-Yoga fusion. **Part 1**-We start with a brief introduction, then expect a gentle yet invigorating 40-45 minutes Pilates/Yoga/Breath session to wake up your body and clear your mind; to enhance a sense of peace and joy! **Part 2**- **Optional** for those who'd like to hang out afterwards to chat-, connect-, and get to know each other better: We can either take a short walk (0.3 mi) to Jackson Market to get something to drink and/or eat. Love this place! It's super cute, can get a little crowded on a Sunday, but I'd say it's definitely worth it. OR We can drive a couple of miles west and take a walk at the beach.
