Atheists Volunteer FOOD DISTRIBUTION! Come help and give out food!

[Atheists United](www.atheistsunited.org), California's largest grassroots atheist nonprofit, is fighting the emergency food crisis with our partners [Sunday Assembly Los Angeles](www.sundayassemblyla.com) by hosting a food distribution in Los Angeles outside our offices. We've partnered with the LA Food Bank and give out over 3,000lbs of food each event. **We need volunteers to help us assemble and organize food packages from 12pm - 5pm every third Friday.** From 3:30pm - 5pm volunteers will help hand food out directly to those in need in the neighborhood. From 5pm - 6pm we'll clean up and celebrate everything we accomplished together. Music and snacks will make it well worth your time. Camping Road Trip @ Grand Teton & Yellowstone

Happy Father's Day to all the good dads, step-dads, paternal guardians & foster parents, etc. I'm currently in Denver this weekend, and yesterday, we stopped by Rocky Mountain National Park for a quick drive / visit, and it was so nostalgic to be out in nature again (after a 3 year absence). Another group member messaged me yesterday regarding 4th of July weekend, so I'm sorry I've procrastinated so long in posting something. - My apologies this is short notice... I'm planning on going to Glacier National Park in Montana between July 3 - 10. If I can get everything ready in time, I might go to a Canadian National Park called Waterton Lakes National Park around July 1 - 2. I'm perfectly fine with going solo...I need the peace and quiet after working with kids and volunteering with kids throughout the country. Plus, it's really short / late notice, so I don't anticipate anyone else joining for Glacier. If you believe community service is a critical part of giving back locally we hope you join us as we clean the 2 Freeway in Glendale! We work with CalTrans to leave a cleaner, most sustainable future for everyone that lives here. Come join our efforts! Atheists United is a community nonprofit that provides programming for Greater LA's million+ atheists and agnostics. We've proudly been hosting highway cleanups in Los Angeles for almost two decades. **What to wear:** Close-toed shoes, long pants, sunscreen or long sleeve shirt. Dress in layers because it can start out cold and warm up later in the morning. We'll provide bags, gloves, and grabbers so you won't have to bend over to pick up trash. Minimum age to participate is 16. **Lunch or Refreshments:** We'll pick a place for refreshments after the cleanup **How long:** The highway clean-up will take about 2 hours; plus optional get-together for refreshments afterward. **How to find us:** We'll meet at the Holly exit, off of the 2 freeway in Glendale (See map). Call Steve if you can't find the group 310-686-8862. **RSVP:** Please remember to change your RSVP to "no" if you can't make it. This is a common courtesy.
