Paint & Chill in Prospect Park: Low-Pressure Art Meetup 🎨

🎨 Let's Create Art Outdoors: Low-Pressure Painting! Location: Prospect Park, Brooklyn (Meeting on the north end of the Long Meadow, near Grand Army Plaza)Let's get together and create art! Grab your paints, a blanket, and come hang out for a relaxed, low-pressure evening of outdoor painting. Whether you want to paint acrylics on canvas, sketch in a notebook, or bring whatever creative project you wish to work on, all mediums and skill levels are welcome!We will set up under the shade of the large trees on the north end of the Long Meadow. This spot gives us a beautiful view of the park, plenty of grass to lay down blankets, and quick access to the restrooms at the Picnic House.What to bring:• Your own art supplies (canvases, acrylics, sketchbooks, brushes, etc.)• A picnic blanket or lightweight lawn chair• A jar and a bottle of tap water to wash your brushes• A small spray bottle or mister (acrylics dry fast outdoors!)• Snacks and drinks to enjoy while you createCome to relax, meet some friendly local creatives, and paint at your own pace. There are no instructions or critiques—just fun, low-pressure art-making in the park. See you tomorrow!

Artists and creatives of all skill levels are welcome, including aspiring creatives who are just starting out and professionals. Bring your drawing supplies or whatever creative project you're working on. Digital media like iPad sketching is ideal since the lighting might be a bit dim.

Digital Mindfulness

A casual show-and-tell meetup for people experimenting with digital minimalism and mindful technology use. Everyone is invited to share the habits, tools, boundaries, apps, dumbphones, screen-time setups, or personal rules that help them use technology more intentionally. Let's swap practical ideas, learn from each other, and leave with a few simple experiments to try.

Sketch Sutton Place Park!

Sutton Place Park is beautiful, quiet, and out-of-the-way. It has gorgeous views, but it's been 5 years since the group last visited, so let's get together and draw it! **We'll meet at the entrance to the park at 57th Street and Sutton Place. Be careful not to accidentally go to the other part of the park, several blocks lower.** Any problems on the day of the event, I can be reached at 646-831-9816. Looking forward to sketching with you! *** IMPORTANT: In case of rain, I will let people know early in the morning if it is canceled, and then reschedule for another day. *** What makes our Meetups different from other art groups and classes? There's no instruction, but we like to share our work, and chat and be inspired. Share tips and learn from people in a casual environment where all levels of artists are welcome! Don't be shy to ask anyone anything! • We sketch for a bit, usually 45 minutes or so, and then get back together and share our drawings, and then sketch again, etc. There's usually time for 3 sketches. • Please bring your own supplies - anything you like to work with - pens, pencil, watercolor, pastel, small sketchbook or large paper, iPad, whatever suits you. • We hand out nametags so everyone can meet one another! • We take photos to share on the site later. Now located in Bushwick, BK at 35 Meadow St., 11206 **BYOB - pizza provided!** This UNINSTRUCTED figure drawing session begins with short poses for attendees to warm up. The longest poses are 20 minutes. We take a 5-minute break every 20 minutes. Cookies and fresh water are available. We listen to music while we work. Please bring your supplies (we have limited supplies to lend out).!
