Free In-person Introduction to Transcendental Meditation®

Free In-person Introduction to Transcendental Meditation®

Sun, Aug 2, 4:00 PM
From Transcendental Meditation® of NYC

There is a way to unlock greater energy, focus, clear thinking and happiness, so that you can get more out of life. Have more clarity when decisions matter. More patience with the people you love. More energy at the end of the day. More creativity when you need a fresh idea. More calm when life gets demanding. Pressure affects more than how you feel. It can narrow your attention, drain your energy, shorten your patience, and make even simple decisions feel harder. Transcendental Meditation is a simple practice designed to help you release accumulated stress and recover the steadiness, clarity, and vitality that you deserve. Put less stress between you and your best life. Discover how it works in a free live online introduction. **About this Presentation** Whether you have known about TM® for years or are just hearing about it now, this is the concise overview you are looking for. A certified teacher of Transcendental Meditation will talk about TM in depth, describe its benefits, and answer your questions. **About the Presenter** The session is presented by a certified teacher of the Transcendental Meditation technique from the TM Centers of New York City. **Will we meditate during the event?** This is an introductory presentation, not the TM course itself. You will learn about the technique, but personal instruction in Transcendental Meditation takes place separately with a certified teacher. **What happens after the introduction?** After the introduction, you can decide whether you want to sign up to learn, or think about it. A link and QR code will be provided to take you to the TM Course schedules for New York City. Or, there are TM Centers all around the country, so instructions will be provided to find a course near you.

**\*GET TICKETS AT:** [https://www.eventbrite.com/e/brooklyn-bridge-singles-sunset-date-walk-tickets-1307319671329](https://www.eventbrite.com/e/brooklyn-bridge-singles-sunset-date-walk-tickets-1307319671329) (\*First 5 ladies save $5 by using discount code "5" at checkout. Multiple groups are co-organizing so the RSVP's shown are just a very small portion of the total members attending. Space is extremely limited as this event sells out every time.) Kick off Spring by joining fun and friendly singles for a sunset stroll across the Brooklyn Bridge. Our "Date Walks" are very casual and non-awkward way to meet others. Your host will be there to make introductions and will have everyone rotate, asking the men and women to switch so everyone gets a chance to talk with everyone. We will first meet at a Starbucks where you can grab a drink for your walk. Then we'll walk a 1.5-2 mile stretch to the Brooklyn Bridge Park to NYC. We will also hang afterwards in a nearby area. FAQs: **How many will attend?** We limit the # of attendees to 30 so that everyone has enough time to get to know each other. **What are the ages?** We'll have a good mix of ages and everyone usually finds others in their age group. **What if rains?** We will email attendees a new date. **Can I come alone?** Yes, about 90% come on their own. **How much?** $15-$25 depending upon when you get ticket and # of spots left.
