Snorkeling at Freshwater Beach

Freshwater is a beautiful beach just North of Manly. As it is an open beach, it will be subject to surf conditions, and would not be suitable for absolute beginners even in very calm conditions. That being said, we can have Fairlight Beach as a back up plan if it is too rough. We can meet in the car park above the ocean pool at 11am and make a decision once we see what it is like. Great North Walk Mt Kuring Gai to Hornsby via Berowra 22km med-hard

Fantastic 22.3 km one-way trail from Hornsby to Mount Kuring-gai traverses Berowra Valley National Park and includes sections like the Blue Gum Walk and Tunks Ridge Reserve. Expect varied terrain with steep sections, particularly as you approach Mount Kuring-gai, where you'll encounter panoramic views. The route also passes by Fishponds and Berowra Creek. Be prepared for a challenging hike that requires stamina and resilience, especially during the final ascent. Fabulous bushwalk Epping to Hornsby via Lane Cove River & Berowra Creek 18km med

Fabulous walk on the edges of our city, Epping to Hornsby follows a section of the great north walk which runs from Sydney Cove to Newcastle all 250km of it! This long day walk follows the Lane Cove River and Berowra Creek. The walk mostly follows the iconic Great North Walk, keeping mostly to bushland. With a train station at each end and a chance to fill the tummy at Thornleigh, this is an enjoyable day out. Finally walk through the Blue gum forest and a big climb up to Hornsby Meet at Epping railway station Oxford Street side, walk is medium grade and 18km in length, a nice day out in the bush! Sydney Social Climbers is a group of social climbing enthusiasts who also enjoy a beer and a chat. We meet every Thursday 6:15PM, at Nomad Annandale climbing gym. **Schedule** 6:15PM - 6:30PM - Meet and Greet 6:30PM -8:15PM - Climbing 8:15PM-8:20PM - Regroup and leave for Pub 8:20PM Onwards - Dinner & Drinks at The Annandale Hotel **What is Bouldering?** Bouldering is rock climbing without ropes or harnesses. The challenge is to climb short but tricky routes using balance, technique, and strength. It's a high-intensity exercise that strengthens many of the major muscles of the body, and in particular your core, back, shoulders, arms, hands, and grip. It can also help improve your sport climbing technique. Bouldering routes are set for beginners and up to advanced climbers at the gym.
