This is not negotiable. 🌸🐌🌸 As this is a walking group, bikes, ebikes, scooters, escooters, and pogo sticks are not compatible or welcome. 🌸👣🌸 Grading for my walks:
Easy: Mainly flat, suburban, loads of get out points, up to 14kms.
Easy-Medium: some stairs, a few uneven surfaces, up to 15kms.
Medium: Stairs, rocks, coastal beaches/sand, ups, downs, get out points limited, up to 17kms
Medium-Hard: uneven surfaces, need to take extreme care and be hike fit. Few get out points. Tracks, uneven surfaces, steep inclinations and limited resources. 🌸👯‍♀️🌸 WALKING GUIDELINES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 🌸✍️🌸 Carry sufficient food and water (2 litres) for the expected conditions of the walk. Pls don’t separate from the group, unless you let someone know, preferably me. One of the Best Hikes in Australia! Classic Grand Canyon Circuit.

**If you don’t like this hike, you won’t like many others. It’s one of the best hikes anywhere in Australia!** **We will start at Blackheath Train Station (meet outside the train station on the Great Western Highway side) at 10am sharp (a train leaves Central at 7:28am from Platform 7 and arrives at Blackheath Station at 9:54am).** **From here we will follow the Popes Glen Track to Govett’s Leap Lookout, where you will see one of the most impressive views in the Blue Mountains.** **After a short break, we will follow the Cliff Top Track to the nearby waterfall with amazing views over the valley until we reach Evans Lookout where we will have lunch.** **After lunch, we will descend down the numerous steps into the cooler Grand Canyon.** **Following the Grand Canyon Track, we will pass waterfalls and tunnels (hopefully see some yabbies in the waterways), and then gradually climb through Neates Glen out to the carpark, about 200 metres higher than the canyon.** **After that, we follow the Braeside Trail up the road, finishing back at Blackheath Train Station.** **We will aim to get finish by 3.30pm, from where we can catch a train back to Katoomba or Sydney.** **\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*** **DISTANCE: About 16 km.** **GRADE: Medium, Grade 3.** **NOTE: No get-out points. Awesome Botany Bay Coastline Walk! Wolli Creek to All the Way to Cronulla!

**This is one of the best coastal walks around Botany Bay with fantastic views of all the coastal spots.** **We start at Wolli Creek and make our way to Kyeemagh, the Chinese market gardens, Brighton Le Sands and Dolls Point.** **After we break for lunch, we go over Captains Cook Bridge, through Woolooware and onto Wanda Beach, Elouera Beach and North Cronulla Beach.** **The walk is pretty flat and mostly on man-made paths.** **Meeting point is just outside Wolli Creek Train Station on Discovery Point Place. There are a number of good cafes here, if you want a coffee or to load up on pastries before you start!** **We will aim to finish at Cronulla by 4pm.** **\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*** **DISTANCE: About 30 kms.** **GRADE: Medium, due to the distance (but pretty flat).** **NOTE: Many exit points.** **IMPORTANT INFORMATION:** · **Be Prepared: Bring at least 2 litres of water, lunch, snacks and dress for the weather. This wonderful hike takes place around the waters of Castlecrag. We will meet at the Castlecrag shops in Edinburgh nowhere and walk up and down around the water and through magnificent natural forests. As we start to head back to the car, I tempt you with this challenging 300+ steps hidden water edge. NOT to be missed !! Why is there a fee for hiking ? **Lane Cove National Park (LCNP)- Epping to Chatswood - 20km** I would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land on which i walk, the Cammeraygal people of the Ku-ring-gai Aboriginal Tribe & pay respect to the Elders past, present & emerging. **🌳Time & Meeting Place:** **8.30am** **[Epping Station](https://tinyurl.com/4e8sc6dx)** **Cambridge St exit**. **🌳About:** This is a picturesque walk of LCNP that follows the Lane Cove River. Lots of birds, tall trees, creek & river views. It's a good workout.. shady, goldilocks warm weather distance & finish around lunchtime. **🌳Route:** From **[Epping Station](https://tinyurl.com/4e8sc6dx)** we briefly walk through a couple of Epping streets, under the Motorway & head into the LCNP. For the most part we follow the Great North Walk route. We'll have a lunch break at the halfway point, Tuckwell Park. We then make our way along the Lane Cove River to [Koonjeree Picnic Area](https://tinyurl.com/j6zhfv75) at the south eastern end of LCNP. From there we walk through Blue Gum Reserve, followed by a very short steep walk on local streets to finish at ***[Chatswood Station](https://tinyurl.com/5ayamhm4)***. We should arrive at Chatswood around 1.30pm. **🌳Exit points:** There are public transport exit points at the 10km mark (halfway) from [Macquarie Park Metro](https://tinyurl.com/4m3ea9cy) & at the 17km mark, [Koonjeree Picnic Area](https://tinyurl.com/j6zhfv75) bus stop at the eastern end of LCNP. that will either take you to Macquarie Park or Chatswood Stations. **🌳Distance:** 20km **🌳Type of walk:** Shady with well established bush tracks & fire trails. Some moderate terrain. **🌳Difficulty:** Moderate. There are some rocky, hilly sections & steps. SPIT BRIDGE to BALMORAL BEACH to Mosman Rowers 12kms Hike!!!

This delightful Sunday Session has it all... beautiful hidden beaches, amazing architecture, military history, perfect Sydney Opera House views, and some bush walking around Taylor's Bay that makes you feel like you're in Tropical North Queensland. And to finish it off? **[Mosman Rowers](https://www.mosmanrowers.com.au/)** is undoubtedly one of the best hidden secrets on Sydney Harbour for a fish and chips and a wine or two... Adding an unforgettable ferry ride to Circular Quay is the icing on the Sunday Session cake. **THE HIKE** We meet just behind the bus stop at **[Spit West Reserve](https://maps.app.goo.gl/faPKgPtqXfJV4QiU8)** in the park... you'll see me in a NY hat patting some dogs no doubt. The 144 bus, 172x, and 173x all drop there - easy as. From there we'll ascend into a stunning section of Mosman then head down to **Chinaman's Beach** \- definitely one of Syd Harbour's prettiest\. From there another climb then down to **Balmoral Beach**. Ahhhhhh a classic. A stroll through Balmoral then some stairs to get us huffing and puffing to **George's Head. Chower Bay. Clifton Gardens. An incredible bushwalk to Taylor's Bay. Bradley's Head. Taronga Zoo... then onward to Corner Beach** (you've prob only seen it from the ferry) and finally **Mosman Rowers**. Mosman Rowers (bring your ID to sign in, though I've never seen anybody checking) is one of a kind... it *oooooozes* local history, the food is damn good, and the views are stunning.
