Bike Leichhardt Inc. AGM. Commencing 6.30 pm sharp in 'The Studio' (auditorium), level 1 of Wests Ashfield. 115 Liverpool Rd. Only financial members of Bike Leichhardt may vote or stand for election. The AGM to conclude at approx 7.15 followed by our guest speaker at 7.30 pm. Guests are welcome to hear our guest speaker (and at AGM). Our speaker is Dr Marjorie On'Neill, Co-chair of Parlt Friends of Active Transport and Parlt. Secretary for Transport. Have a meal while attending the AGM. Our guest speaker is expected to finish at approx. 8.30 pm. Or join us afterwards for a meal or a drink and a catch-up. AGM notice and agenda has been emailed directly to members. Ride Leaders' workshop (no.2) & lunch

***For Bike Leichhardt financial RIDE LEADERS only, who were unable to attend the FIRST RIDE LEADERS' WORKSHOP in August.*** **This second workshop has been scheduled for you for Saturday NOVEMBER 14, 2026.** To review the key findings of the recent member & ride leader surveys, discuss ride leadership issues & enjoy a relaxed lunch together. Arrive in 'The Studio' of the Clubhouse of Levande Cardinal Freeman Village at 9am for 9.15 am workshop start. Tea & coffee available in the room so have a cuppa while we think... The workshop wraps up around 12.15 then lunch in the cafe next door. Venue is 'The Studio', upstairs in the Clubhouse (Reception) at Levande Cardinal Freeman Village 137 Victoria St. Ashfield Walking distance from Ashfield train station. or Bus 413 from Haymarket (next to Central Railway) brings you right to the village. Purple Rain

Nothing says spring quite like a tree-lined street that rains purple flowers. Meet at the small park on the primary school side of Bridge Street (cnr Swanson Street), outside Erskineville Station. see PHOTO below for meeting point. We will enjoy the nearby jacarandas before following the Bourke Street cycleway into the city, via The Domain for more purple displays. Then it’s over the Bridge to Kirribilli to check out the colourful display there – another popular place for that perfect jacaranda photo. And a coffee… Return to Erskineville via Darling Harbour, Glebe and Sydney Uni where we will mourn the once ancient jacaranda on the Quad. The ride is a leisurely pace on-road (mostly back streets) or cycle paths. Riders MUST be confident riding in traffic. DISTANCE: Approx. 25km, mostly flat, with plenty of photo opportunities. Ride will be cancelled if weather impacted. Monitor MeetUp for wet weather cancellation. Bring bike in good working condition, drink bottle, helmet, pump, spare tubes, tyre levers. Riders must be a current financial member ($10 cash on day accepted). Jacaranda Twilight Ride

13km easy place, mostly on quiet streets and separated pathways [The ride route](https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=1-s8CdNSrQRkbiV0OMzDCNwX0eMdxRyhP&usp=sharing)** takes us through the purple pathways and green streets of Paddington, Darlinghurst, Redfern, Alexandria, and Erskineville. Then we return to Redfern to conclude the ride.

Jacarandas at Neutral Bay

Meet at the gazebo in Pioneers Memorial Park in Leichhardt at 9.50 am for a 10 am start for this sedate approx 22 klm meander. We'll head over the Anzac Bridge, over the Harbour Bridge, onto the eastern side of Milsons Point station, down Clark Rd, right into McDougall St to experience this avenue of Jacarandas. We'll park the bikes in Milson park to take our time on foot under the purple canopy. After revelling in the luxurious lilac we'll meander along Elamanga Ave to the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron, onto Kirribilli Ave past Kirribilli and Admiralty Houses to Lady Gowrie lookout. Onto Bradfield Park, up Alfred St to Cliff & Lavender Sts, into Harbour View Cr. Park the bikes to explore Wendy Whitelys secret garden. Back over the bridge for a drink or lunch at the Lord Nelson Hotel. After a break we'll head back to the starting point at Leichhardt. Bring a helmet and tools to repair a flat tyre. Water, sunblock, Opal card if you want to bail out at Milsons Point station. Please decline asap in MeetUp if you can’t attend and stay away if feeling unwell. This will be a sedate wander. Golden Hour Jacaranda Ride

13km easy place, mostly on quiet streets and separated pathways The ride route takes us through the purple pathways and green streets of North Sydney, Neutral Bay, Kirrabilli, and Milsons Point before heading back over the bridge to Circular Quay. After that, we'll follow the city cycleways until we find a nice place to finish the ride. *Note: We are meeting at Waterloo Metro and taking the train to Victoria Cross. The riding will commence at VC Metro*

Eastern Sydney Coastal Explorer

A relaxed morning bike ride with plenty of stops to catch your breath enjoy the fabulous harbour views and coastal scenery. *This ride starts early to avoid the traffic that builds up around the beaches and harbourside suburbs throughout the day.* We'll ride (easy pace, mostly on quieter streets and shared paths) along on- and off-road cycleways and back to Bondi Junction (ETA 11.30am). **Refer to the ride route map for a more detailed description.** *The ride will go ahead in a fine drizzle but not heavy rain - please check the site on the morning of the ride for any weather-related updates!* **You must RSVP in order to attend the ride.** Please make sure you UPDATE your RSVP if you cannot make it as nobody wants to be waiting for a no-show. **Disclaimer:** *By signing up for this event you acknowledge that you are personally responsible for your own safety, and that you are participating in the event entirely at your own risk. Moore Park to Ramsgate RTN

An easy and relatively flat morning ride south through Waterloo, Alexandria, Mascot, around Sydney Airport and along the new cycle path through the Barton and Scarborough Park wetlands to Ramsgate where we stop for coffee/pastries. Much of the ride is on cycleways, otherwise along back streets, except for the first short stretch along Dacey Ave and South Dowling St. **We meet at the Dacey Avenue Bus Shelter, Kensington** (in front of the E S Marks Athletic Field) and leave from there promptly at 7:30 am. **Alternatively - meet us at 7:45 am in front of The Grounds** on the corner of Bourke Rd and Huntley St Alexandria. Medium pace (20kph av.) ETA return 10:30 am

World Sustainable Transport Day - to Centennial Park

**Details** Meet at 9 am for a 9.10 start from the Lackey St fountain in Summer Hill, we'll go to the gazebo in Leichhardt’s Pioneer Memorial Park (at about 9.30) for anyone who wants to start from there (please indicate in EVENT CHAT if you will start at the Pioneers Memorial Park in Leichhardt). Then over the Anzac bridge and weave through the city on several bike paths, over the Tibby Cotter bridge and into Centennial Park for a casual, self-catered picnic brunch (NB there are 3 cafes in the park if you want to buy a drink or meal). We'll return via the Moore Park Rd cycleway, Oxford St and Anzac Bridge. There is public transport near Centennial Park at the light rail stop at Royal Randwick. Other guests are most welcome. They can join the ride or meet us in the park. Participants will need to bring their food, drink and something to sit on. I strongly urge bringing a hat too. Play pickleball at Pennant Hills Park! Monday 7:15pm

Come play pickleball at Pennant Hills Park! No first time beginners please. Those new to the game should book into the beginners session through meetup. **What to expect:** 12 outdoor courts 3 levels of play Advanced Intermediate Social Please self-assess your level and join the most suitable queue. Players are welcome to challenge themselves, however, if you are consistently unable to keep up with the level of play, please move down a level or join social play to help keep games fun and balanced for everyone. After each game, come off the court and place your paddle back into the appropriate rack. There are two racks per level - please split your paddles with your partner in the rack to help mix players and keep games social and balanced (though you are welcome to stay together if preferred). Once a rack has 4 paddles waiting, those 4 players may take the next available court.
