Welcome to our community of positive, honest, kind, respectful, caring, good-hearted, responsible, and emotionally mature neighbors helping each other live peaceful lives filled with joy, happiness, and financial peace of mind. Our Mission & Focus We focus specifically on mutual aid for DIY projects. We pool our resources, knowledge, and skills to help each other with car repairs, home repairs, remodeling, and various everyday repair projects so we can all save money and learn new skills together. Participation & Workspace Requirements Because our events take place on members' private residential properties, active membership is strictly limited to verified local residents with permanent, stable housing (homeowners or leaseholders) who have a private driveway, garage, or dedicated residential workspace to host or contribute to projects. Environment & Behavioral Standards To maintain a safe, healthy environment for everyone, our community is strictly substance-free. We enforce a zero-tolerance policy against smoking, vaping, cannabis, alcohol, or illicit substance use. We also practice respectful communication, meaning all group events and digital spaces are strictly profanity-free and drama-free.

Discussion and mutual support regarding divorce and separation.

Going through a divorce is most often a very challenging process - financially, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Your way of life may change dramatically as you are faced with legal and relationship conflicts, endless discussions, heated arguments, complicated negotiations, and a myriad of choices and decisions to make. Communication between you and your spouse, often difficult under any circumstances, may become excruciatingly painful as you argue about the custody and care of your children, how much time you'll each have with them, and who is going to pay for what. While you're in the divorcing process it is hard to be vulnerable and attempt to heal and complete the past. You are angry, your spouse is angry and fighting comes all too easy. And yet, just as you must resolve your legal issues, healing and completing is exactly what can and should take place. At this time it is important to have a positive support network - good friends, family and professionals who will listen patiently and give sound advice sparingly. You do not need someone egging you on with unrealistic expectations and hurtful strategies of punishment and revenge. The Marina del Rey Divorce, Separation and Mediation Group is a resource for support as you go through this challenging life transition. The group is facilitated by Dennis A. Cohen an attorney and mediator. Using a combination of education, exercises, group encouragement and sharing, participants receive support in coping with the divorce process, learning about the law, improving communication skills, and getting the perspective of others who are also going, through the challenging process of ending a marriage. Hey Everyone 👋 If you missed my last event, then you don't want to miss out on this! Come join me on **Friday, August 14th** for a relaxed and fun evening at **Sunset Sessions \| Live Music & Libations in Old Town Pasadena**. We’ll **meet up at 6 PM** to grab a spot together and settle in before the music starts. **Note:** I won’t be able to reserve or hold seats, so please plan to arrive early if you’d like a good table or spot, as it can fill up quickly. The **live performance runs from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM**, giving us a couple of hours to enjoy the music, catch up, and unwind together. Bring your own food and we can have a potluck picnic while enjoying the music. Come join me on **Saturday, August 15th**, for a fun evening featuring a live performance by the **Blue Breeze Band** at **Loma Alto Park** in **Altadena**! For more than 15 years, the **Blue Breeze Band** has entertained audiences throughout California, Arizona, Nevada, and Hawaii with an energetic mix of Motown, R&B, Soul, Funk, Jazz, and Blues. This award-winning dance band is known for its outstanding musicianship and crowd-pleasing performances, featuring classic Top 40 hits, Motown favorites, R&B, Soul, Funk, '90s Hip-Hop, and Jazz & Blues. Bring your dancing shoes and enjoy an evening of great music, good company, and summer fun! The concert starts at 7 PM, but feel free to arrive early at 5:30 PM to hang out, get settled, and enjoy a personal picnic. There will be no group potluck. We are hosting an intimate, private pool party for a small group of 12 to 15 people to keep things cozy and fun. 📅 **When & Where** • Date: Sunday, August 16th, 2026 • Time: 2 PM onwards • Location: Private residence in South Bay LA (The exact address will be sent directly to confirmed attendees the day before the event). 🍔 **Food & Drinks (Potluck & BYOB)** • Food: Please bring a dish to share! Think main dishes, summer salads, finger foods, fruits, or desserts. • Drinks: This event is BYOB.
