Passeggiata italiana

Passeggiata italiana

Sun, Aug 23, 11:00 AM
From Italian conversation practice with Elena

Pratica l'italiano passeggiando. > Ciao a tutti!

From Dear Asia London - School for Asian Languages & Culture

Come join us to celebrate Qixi with love stories and traditional fragrant perfume pouch making (香包, xiāng bāo). Qixi (七夕节), often known as the Chinese Valentine’s Festival, is a celebration of love, longing, and timeless devotion inspired by one of China’s most beautiful legends. It tells the story of the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl, two lovers separated by the Milky Way who are allowed to meet only once a year on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month. In the spirit of Qixi, a romantic festival celebrating love and connection, fragrant perfume pouches (香包, xiāng bāo) make a meaningful handmade gift for loved ones. Filled with aromatic herbs , these small sachets are believed to symbolise affection, protection, and good fortune. In this experience, you’ll create your own perfume pouch, blending fragrance and design into a personal charm to share with someone special, carrying your heartfelt wishes and blessings. What You’ll Experience: 🌙 Learn the Festival Story: Discover the story of the Cowherd and Weaver Girl and how their once-a-year reunion became one of China’s most enduring love festivals 🧵 Perfume Pouches Making: Make your own perfume pouch (香包, xiāng bāo), symbolising love, protection, and good fortune 🥠Asian Treats : Enjoy a selection of Asian snacks and drinks
