Held annually in West London during the August bank holiday weekend, the event features a vibrant parade, sound systems, steel bands, and traditional Caribbean food. The date may be Sunday and/or Monday - it will be confirmed with those that RSVP. Admin fee: £3pp

This year our celebrations will take place at 4pm to 7pm on Sunday 23rd August 2026 at May Foods, 16C Market Row, London SW9 8LD, an authentic Ghanaian restaurant with an inexpensive selection of mouth-watering dishes. =================== Date: Sunday, 23rd August 2026 Time: 4pm - 7.00pm meal at May Foods restaurant Venue: May Foods, 16c Market Row, London SW9 8LD =================== Join us to honour the life and legacy of Tai Solarin â Nigerian educator, writer, and fearless humanist who championed truth, reason, and social justice. He established the famous Mayflower School, Ikenne, Ogun State in 1956. A passionate advocate for Pan-African progress, Solarin dedicated his life to challenging dogma, promoting education, and inspiring Africans to think freely and act boldly. On this day, we celebrate not just his achievements, but the values he stood for: integrity, equality, and the belief that a better Africa is built through critical thought and human endeavour.
