Also, thank you everyone who came out and supported PBR Cowboy Bar by purchasing food and beverages. They’ve been fantastic hosts and have done a great job taking care of our group. We’re thrilled they enjoyed having us so much that they’ve invited us back for another event in November. Time To Get a Little Mojo Goin'

This is a fun, low-key, rock painting activity. I will supply rocks and paints and some ideas. No pressure. Just your chance to create little pieces of joy that you can leave behind wherever you go. You are welcome to bring other mediums like paper or watercolor paints, etc. if you want to create on/with something else.

Distillery Tour & Tasting!

Come and visit Echo Spirits Distilling Co. in Grandview and get to Know Your Distiller! Visit an active craft distillery and learn how they make award-winning local spirits (esp. rum & bourbon)! Includes a tour and extensive tasting. THE TOUR BEGINS PROMPTLY AT 6:30PM **COST: $10.00 This is a** **ticketed event and reservations must be made beforehand**! **I have booked the time slot for our group** **and pre-paid for the EventBrite tickets + fee.** **NO REFUNDS**. If you have to cancel, consider your ticket a donation to the Snack fund. *Distillery Notes*: Spend a little over an hour with us as we take you through the distilling process and how Echo Spirits came to be. We'll guide you through an optional tasting to help you become a better spirits taster and introduce you to our products. The goal is to have you come out of the tour more knowledgeable about spirits and to have a good time! Make sure you remember that this is an active manufacturing business and wear appropriate attire. It's hot in the summer, cold in the winter, and you need to watch your step. **AFTER TOUR**: After our tour and tasting, we can order a drink from their eclectic menu, sit and chat. **PARKING**: Around back of the building and on side streets. **FOOD:** You can *bring in your own* or get takeout from Buffalo Wild Wings (next door) or Five Guys (across the street). Free In-person Meeting: Unwanted Emotions & Loneliness, How to Get Over Them

This is an in-person meeting. Did you know that unwanted emotions like loneliness, sadness, hopelessness, anger, fear, anxiety, or feelings of irritation don’t just fall on you for no reason. They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not chemical imbalance in your brain due to some nebulous chemical reactions by chance. Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you. The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life. For instance, let's say you are already carrying a huge load on your back, then you cannot take on much more, but, let's say something else happens to you, such as the difficulties from the Pandemic, then the resultant combined weight on you can take you over the edge, kind of like the straw that break the camel's back. When this happens, people's attention usually goes to the straw that was added, but actually the majority of the weight had come from the huge load that were already there, holding a person down and causing a person issues. So how do you remove the huge load that was already there? How do you lighten them up? Is it possible to get rid of them? That is what this meeting will be all about. Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life. Barbara Bradley Hagerty spent years as an NPR correspondent, and when she reached midlife she did what reporters do: she went looking for the evidence. In *Life Reimagined*, she digs into neuroscience, genetics, and one of the longest-running studies of adult life ever conducted. What she found looks a lot less like a crisis and a lot more like a turning point. In this session, we’ll look at a few of those findings and hold them up against the beliefs about age we’ve been quietly carrying. Not to talk anyone into optimism. Just to check the facts. Just in time for holiday gift giving - let's spark our creativity and gather at Worthington Candle Works for a hands-on sensory experience. We will have options to create a custom-scented candle, body scrub, soap, reed diffuser, lotion or room spray. We can all choose our own product to make and take home with us that day. Please note that candles require a 2-hour set time, which is a perfect time to head to lunch at Dewey's Pizza, which is only a 100 foot walk from Worthington Candle Works. The pricing is as follows: all items other than candles are $28; candles are $25-$50, depending on size

Somewhere along the way, a lot of us started waiting. Waiting to feel ready. Waiting for it to make sense. Waiting for someone else to say it’s okay to want what we want. Last time, we noticed what we’re curious about. This session asks the next question: who, exactly, do you believe is holding the permission? You’ll look honestly at one thing you’ve been waiting to do, and who or what you think has to say yes. You’ll see what a coaching conversation looks like on that very question. Then you’ll say your own permission out loud, with no “but” and no explaining. You’ll also take a close look at one “too old for” story with some real curiosity instead of simply accepting it. You don’t need to have read anything, and taking part is always your choice. Whether this is your first time with us or you’ve been with us since the beginning, you’re exactly on time.
