London Society WALK - Marble Arch to Shepherds Bush
Sun, Jun 28, 5:30 PMHave you ever wanted to be immersed within either the city or nature in the form of a walk and socialise at the same time? If so, this may be the right walk for you. Welcome to another one of the WALK events where you have the opportunity to explore all the scenic routes I’ll execute whether there’s nature within, whether we get immersed within the city and feel great about yourself. With this particular walk, we will be walking from Marble Arch to Shepherd’s Bush. This walk in particular is more of a transition from central London to the western parts of London. One moment, we’re surrounded by landmarks and gorgeous parks and the next, we enter a different dynamic of west London that we haven’t seen before. To be precise, it’s quite the immersive walk as we get to discover what cultures and places are down there. After this walk, we will be heading inside Westfield Shepherd’s Bush for some ice cream at Badiani’s or any other alternative if you wish. Badiani’s is an Italian business specialised in gelato and any other delicacies. They began since 1932 and arrived in the Uk since 2016. If you were to look at their treats, you could say it feels like ‘Charlie and the chocolate factory’. To find out more, check out their website at https://www.badiani1932.com My fellow explorers, if you enjoyed the event, I’m more than happy to accept any donations which of course are optional but will go a long way to help me unlock and deliver even more exciting and engaging events and resources: https://www.paypal.me/calvinjoy Starting point: Marble Arch Ending point: Shepherd’s Bush Westfield Walking length: 2.7 miles Duration: 1 hour + Required clothing: Smart casual, comfortable shoes and a jacket in case it gets cold Departure: 20 minutes after the meeting time. WHAT - Walk down west London WHERE - Marble Arch/Shepherds bush WHEN - 6:30pm - 9pm MEETING POINT - Marble Arch landmark NEAREST STATION - Marble Arch station REQUIREMENTS - Just your good behaviour is all and whatever is listed above for the walk. Disclaimers: Please be on your best behaviour and respect one another. This group doesn’t tolerate any misbehaviour and misconduct. Should such a thing take place, you will be removed. Whenever an event takes place, I will cut off contact 20 minutes after the event commences. If you message even 1 minute after the cut off time, I won’t be available as I’m conducting the event. There will be photography and videography by myself so if you are photo conscious and/or do not want to be in the video, do kindly inform me and I’ll try my utmost best to not involve you in the picture. Ramsgate to Margate Coastal Walk from London!
Sun, Jun 28, 8:00 AM**Sunday 28th June** ✨ Ramsgate to Margate Coastal Walk ✨ 📍St Pancras Station📍 ⏰ 09:00-9:15 am ⏰ We're leaving London for the day to walk the Viking Coastal Path from Ramsgate to Margate! We'll explore the 11km stretch of coast before settling in Margate where we'll have time to visit the \*free!\* Turner Contemporary Museum, the famous Crab Museum and simply chill on the beach in the sun with a cold beer. **Logistics** If you're coming on the trip you need to book an open return to Ramsgate (which will allow you to return from Margate too), and we'll be taking the outbound train from ST PANCRAS to RAMSGATE that departs at 9:40am. Tickets can be purchased at southeastern (where 33% discounts are available for bookings of 3 or more if you don't have a railcard): https://www.southeasternrailway.co.uk/ You need to be on this train to make the trip. We are allowing plenty of time beforehand to meet, grab a coffee, so this shouldn't be an issue. Please ensure you bring adequate provisions for a walk and time at the beach including water, sunscreen, good shoes, swimwear, and a benevolent disposition :) Please join our whatsapp group to stay informed of all the latest with regards to our event on the day and going forward: [https://chat.whatsapp.com/Dxcmw5sdjOq5RegETO0hS3](https://chat.whatsapp.com/Dxcmw5sdjOq5RegETO0hS3) **What is all this?** This is a fun enterprise set up purely for the purposes of bringing new people together and having a good time. Our meet-ups are for everyone - all inclusive and welcoming! Our events will follow no particular theme - variety is the spice of life after all - and we'll try to keep a nice mix of different accessible options. **Can I come alone?** Of course!! That's nerve-racking for some but a huge number of our participants come alone and feel equally uncertain about it. The hardest part is only ever the activation energy required to ask that first question or two. **Is there any cost?** We are not making a penny from any of this - It's all done for the pure thrill of the thing itself and with the belief that the monetisation of a fun project is a sure-fire way to suck the joy out of it! We will be selecting some activities that will be ticketed events, but it will simply be up to you to book in if you want to come! **Do I need to sign up?** Usually no! Just show up - but just check the detail of the event above to be sure.
