Birdwatching Field Trip at Espais Naturals del Delta del Llobregat

A return visit to one of Barcelona's most rewarding wetland corners. On June 6th, we're heading back to the Llobregat Delta — this time to Espais Naturals del Delta del Llobregat, a mosaic of wetlands, lagoons, and coastal scrub just south of the city. June means shorebirds, summer breeders, and the kind of early morning light that makes everything look cinematic. It's one of the most important wetland sites in Catalonia, and a key stopover on the Mediterranean migration route. Even in June, when migration quiets down, resident species and summer visitors keep things interesting. 🥾 **What to bring** * Comfortable walking shoes * Water and snacks * Binoculars if you have them (bring them — there'll be birds at distance worth looking at properly) * A field guide or Merlin app on your phone * Sun protection — June can be warm, and we'll be in open terrain * Mosquito spray — Something we learned from the previous walk! * 📝 Bring a pen — I'll share a simple way to start recording your sightings 🐦 **What might we see?** The Delta is excellent for herons, egrets, waders, and terns in June. Summer breeders will be active, and the lagoons attract a good variety of waterbirds. We walk at a relaxed pace, with plenty of stops to watch and listen. No birding experience needed — all levels welcome. You can leave whenever you want! Atardecer entre campos en Gallecs 🌾 🌅+ ir a tomar algo 🍻🧆

Este sábado por la tarde te invito a dejar atrás el ruido de la ciudad y conectar con la naturaleza en un **paseo al atardecer por el Parque Agrario de Gallecs**, un paraíso rural a solo 15 km de Barcelona. Comenzaremos nuestro recorrido desde la estación de tren de **Mollet del Vallès (Mollet-Sant Fost)**, y caminaremos entre campos, caminos de tierra y paisajes abiertos que invitan a la contemplación. Gallecs es un espacio único de más de 730 hectáreas, que ha sabido conservar su **identidad rural, valores naturales y paisajísticos**. Durante el paseo, haremos una **parada en la agrotienda de Gallecs**, gestionada por campesinos locales, donde encontraremos **productos ecológicos, artesanales y de proximidad**. Realizaremos un recorrido entre bosque, vegetación y rincones fresquitos ideales para desconectar del ritmo del día a día. Durante la ruta llegaremos a un bonito gorg natural donde podremos parar, descansar y disfrutar del entorno. 🥾 Datos aproximados de la ruta: Distancia: 5–7 km. Desnivel: bajo – moderado. Nivel: fácil – medio. Durante el paseo podremos: 🌲 Caminar entre bosques. 💧 Disfrutar del agua y del entorno natural. 📸 Hacer fotografías. 😌 Desconectar y respirar aire puro. 🌿 Compartir una mañana diferente en grupo.
