The point is to throw, splash, layer, mess around, and leave with something that proves you did not spend another Saturday just running errands and replying “sorry, just seeing this.” ​No art skills needed. We will visit the Ziegeleipark Mildenberg in order to see how Bricks were produced in the days gone by. It is a fascinating place with a little train which takes you to different factory places. From Berlin you have to take public transport to Ziegeleipark Mildenberg. I will meet you at the Bus station of Ziegeleipark Mildenberg at 11 AM. Entrance fee: 10 Euro. Psychedelic Forest Hike III

Hey psychedelic fans! With the harvest season coming to an end, we are once again hiking through the beautiful Grunewald. On Halloween (or Samhain), the boundary between this world and the Otherworld is said to be easier to cross. So, let’s see which spirits we can discover amongst the trees. Bring whatever you need for the afternoon: drinks, some snacks to share, something to sit on during the picnic break, and, of course, suitable clothing. Just like last time, we’ll meet at S Grunewald (exit towards Grunewald) at 12:00, with the hike starting around 12:15. We’re aiming to be back at S Grunewald between 16:00 and 17:00. If you have trouble finding us, look out for a big mushroom-shaped balloon! If you’re running late, just drop a message in the event chat. The weather forecast is looking promising so far, but if Saturday’s weather turns out to be really bad, we might postpone the hike until Sunday. If that happens, we’ll let everyone know in the group by Friday.

There is no better place to spend an autumn break than the Costa del Sol, the sunniest region of Spain. November is the ideal time to visit Andalusia. Daytime temperatures sit comfortably between 15°C and 20°C, perfect for exploring on foot, and the dense summer crowds have finally gone home. The amazing weather is just the start. What surprises most people is the dramatic landscape. The Sierra Nevada, mainland Spain’s highest mountain range, is just 45 minutes from Granada. This means we can hike at an altitude of 3,000 meters in the morning and be back in the city for tapas by evening. An hour south, the mountains plunge straight into the sea. Two hours west, the mountains break into gorges and white hill towns. Ronda is built right on the edge of one, a gorge around 100 metres deep spanned by an 18th-century bridge, and we’ll explore its old town with an optional light hike down into the gorge itself. Very few places in Europe let you experience all of this in the same week. When it comes to food, Granada is one of the last cities in Spain where every drink arrives with a complimentary plate of food, naturally turning dinner into a relaxed crawl from bar to bar. One evening, we’ll head to the Albaicín for flamenco to experience it in an authentic, intimate tablao. Woven through all of this is a history completely unlike the rest of Europe. Eight centuries of Moorish rule left behind masterpieces like the Alhambra in Granada and the Real Alcázar in Seville. These palaces are defined by open courtyards, running water channels, intricately carved plaster, and gardens designed specifically for shade and quiet. Join us in the heart of Andalusia for an unforgettable autumn escape, complete with great company, authentic paella, and exceptional wine. ⭐What are some of the Highlights? The Alhambra Grounds & the Albaicín: We walk up through the old Moorish quarter on cobbles that have not changed much in five hundred years, into the free Alhambra grounds, and on to Mirador de San Miguel Alto for sunset. The palace on one side, the Sierra Nevada behind it, and the whole of Granada below. Sierra Nevada High-Altitude Hike: Mainland Spain's highest mountain range, and a scenic loop above the tree line at over 2,500 metres. Roughly three hours at an easy pace with plenty of stops. Ronda & the Tajo Gorge: A white town built on the edge of a gorge around 100 metres deep, its two halves joined by the 18th-century Puente Nuevo. We walk the old Moorish quarter and the clifftop viewpoints. For anyone who is interested, there is an optional hike down into the gorge for the classic view of the bridge from below. The Real Alcázar & Seville Cathedral: A working royal palace built by Moorish craftsmen for Christian kings, with gardens that take an hour on their own. Next door, the largest Gothic cathedral in the world and the Giralda tower. Granada's Free Tapas: Granada is one of the last cities in Spain where a drink still comes with a plate of food, no charge. We do a guided night tapas crawl, trying out all of the specialties Andalusia has to offer. Traditional Flamenco: A first-row seat to a traditional flamenco show in a cave-style room in the Albaicín. It seems there are several nice cafés ☕ 🥐 in Buckow, so we can stop at one at the end of the hike (for those who wish).
