**A Circular Green Walk through Ruislip Woods to Ruislip Beach.** Picture is of Ruislip Lido Beach By Chris Playll, CC BY-SA 2.0, **WALK START: Travel to Ruislip Manor (Zone 6) on the London Underground (Piccadilly and Metropolitan Lines)**. Meet up outside Ruislip Manor Railway Station at 2.30pm. Look for Ken with the meetup badge. WALK FINISH: Ruislip Beach. The walk finishes at 'The Waters Edge' pub/restaurant at the Ruislip Lido where the socialising can continue before heading back to central London. A short bus ride (bus stop immediately outside 'The Waters Edge' - bus number H13) will take you back to Ruislip and Ruislip Manor Stations. The Waters Edge offers outdoor garden/picnic area. WALK DISTANCE: Length of walk 5 miles - approx. 2 hours. This walk is suitable for the average experienced hill walker. Expect some hills. Do not attend this walk if you do not fit that description or if you have a medical condition (especially heart and/or lung conditions) that may impact upon your capability of completing the walk. These walks are city walks and countryside walks where all the usual risks of injury during such walks apply resulting from interactions with road traffic, joggers, cyclists, e-scooters,other members of the public, animals (farm, domestic and wild), plants (allergic reactions), uneven surfaces, including portruding tree roots and potholes and there may be low overhanging branches. In these walks we cross busy roads, use towpaths alongside water, bridlepaths, country lanes and sometimes ill defined paths and tracks through woodland, bush and countryside. Some tracks may be muddy and slippery, and conditions may be wet and icy. The walk leader is not and does not purport to be a professional guide, or a medical professional, but is instead a like minded individual who also enjoys hill walking and who is familiar with the intended route. Do not attend this walk unless you accept and consent to the above risks. A most stunningly beautiful 11 mile medium paced walk in the Sussex countryside and by a clockwise stretch of beautiful Bewl Water ! Bewl Water is a reservoir and is the biggest stretch of open water in the whole of the South East. Let's go with the flow ! Please only rsvp if you can walk 2.5 miles per hour and you should have adequate and appropriate insurance for this type of activity. Please arrive by 9.15am to facilitate the purchase of group train tickets - Wadhurst return - for the train at 9.54am that arrives at 10.50am. Train ticket : Wadhurst return. Or you may decide to drive. The walk shall commence at 11am. Meetup fee £8 payable in cash or £6 non refundable by bank transfer in advance, details available upon request. No PayPal. We shall have a drink at the end of the walk in Three Legs Cross before aiming to take the 254 bus at 4.54pm and then the train back to London. Please bring packed lunch, water, snacks etc as well as waterproof jacket and walking shoes/trainers or boots plus sunhat, suncream and sunglasses. This is a chance to spend some time outdoors in nature, meet new people and explore some beautiful local green spaces. 💚 We’ll be starting from Whitewebbs Park car park café, heading off on a circular walk around Whitewebbs Park and **Forty** Hall. There'll be a pit stop at Myddelton House café to pick up a drink before returning to the car park via Forty Hall House and gardens. Following this, there's an optional visit to the Rose and Crown pub to socialise and check out their menu if you wish. ☕🍤🥂 📍 Meeting point: Outside Whitewebbs Park car park café, Beggars Hollow, Clay Hill, Enfield EN2 9JN 📆 Saturday 12th September ⏰ Meet at 10\.15am \| Set off at 10\.30am ⏱ Duration: Approximately 1.5–2 hours 👟 Pace: Social to moderate 🥾 Footwear: Sturdy trainers or walking boots Terrain: Laid out paths, some woodland, grassland and a short road.
