**RSVP via:** https://app.gistirl.com/event-details/YhMR8LAbBU0vRPVJQzjw **Early Bird Discounts \| More $ Later** Hi everyone, Come and watch the sunset go down over the beautiful Golden Gate Bridge while mingling with people from all over the Bay and beyond. Join me for a fun and fabulous sunset picnic that will help you truly connect with people you vibe with in a fun and easy way. We’re going to spend the first hour in quick one-on-one rounds—the Gist IRL app pairs you up with someone that is similar to you based on your interest so you always have something to talk about. It’s just a simple way to have real conversations and break the ice. After that, you'll choose a few of the people you clicked with most, grab blankets, some treats, and find a spot on the lawn to settle in. By the time the sun starts setting over the water, the goal is for everyone to be part of a small crew of 4-6 people sharing food, drinks, and a great view. Whether this becomes your permanent sunset crew or just a really good memory, you’ll be glad you came. The Plan: * 5:00 PM: Check-In. Follow the link to set up your quick profile on your phone. * 5:05 PM - 6:25 PM: One-on-One Rounds. We’ll have focused chats to see who shares your love for the outdoors and weekend park hangs. * 6:25 PM+: Group Picnic. Reconnect with your favorite matches, form a small group, and claim a spot on the grass. Don’t just walk away with more contacts—let’s actually share a meal and see where it goes. After the night, you can stay in touch through the app without needing to swap phone numbers. A few local spots to grab food on your way: * Greens-To-Go: Fresh vegetarian fare right here at Fort Mason. * The Cheese School of San Francisco: Amazing cheese and charcuterie platters at Ghirardelli Square. * Marina Safeway: The best stop for last-minute blankets, drinks, and supplies. * Marina Deli: Local favorite for huge sandwiches on Dutch Crunch bread. * Lucca Delicatessen: Incredible Italian meats and gourmet snacks on Chestnut Street. * The Interval at Long Now: Perfect for bottled cocktails and elevated picnic snacks. I can’t wait to catch the sunset with you all. Best, Addie **RSVP via:** https://app.gistirl.com/event-details/YhMR8LAbBU0vRPVJQzjw **Early Bird Discounts \| More $ Later**

**Barber of Seville Experience on June 17th at War Memorial Opera House** buy tickets: [Barber of Seville Experience](https://www.sfopera.com/smartseat/?itemNumber=7800#/) \- Tickets \($50 and up\) ### **Part opera, part party.** *You’ll begin the evening watching part of **Rossini**’s The Barber of Seville on stage. You’ll then be immersed in the flamenco world of the opera in a transformed Opera House. This opera and party experience is a unique evening you’ll be telling stories about for years. Tickets limited for this **one-night-only** event!* *Some lobby content includes adult material; recommended for 21+. Only part of The Barber of Seville is performed during the Encounter event.* *from San Francisco Opera website* *Purchase your own tickets, we'll meet at restaurant below and then after the performance and go for coffee/dessert if anyone is interested.* *Buy tickets early* **Chez Maman West** Dinner at 5:00p *Obviously, because you can never eat better than your Mother‘s cooking. What is warmer than to be with her and eat the food she has just cooked you? Simple and Delicious. My mother always told me "Finis ton assiette" because it was proof to her that I loved what she cooked for me.* *Chez Maman is inspired by this kind of childhood memory. We have tried to recreate that atmosphere with a menu composed of French basics. Tasty items like a hamburger with guacamole or French Brie with a good glass of wine, a welcoming and tasty French meal.* *Chez Maman is a neighborhood restaurant with a bistro concept. We attribute our success to the friendly and casual atmosphere as well as our delicious home cooked meals. The ambiance is French inspired naturally, with the warm colors of the French countryside. What could be more relaxing? Our goal is to satisfy patrons at any time of the day or evening from a casual salad or burger for lunch, a mid-afternoon sweet crepe to a three course meal with a great bottle of French wine when you just don't feel like cooking. Of course, if you want to enjoy your Chez Maman meal at home with your feet up, we will gladly make it for you to go.* *The menu is the same in all of our Chez Maman Restaurants.* *The first one opened on Potrero Hill in 2002. The neighbors all soon became regulars, coming in two or three times a week to share a comfortable meal with friends and family. Hayes Valley since 2012.* *We look forward to seeing you in one of our Chez Maman located near you.* from restaurant website Chez Maman in San Francisco was founded by *Jocelyn Bulow*. He opened the first location, *Chez Maman East* in *Potrero Hill* in 2002, followed by *Chez Maman West* in *Hayes Valley* in 2012. *Bulow*, a charismatic restaurateur who arrived in San Francisco in 1991, aimed to bring a simpler, more authentic version of French cuisine inspired by the warmth of family cooking and the southern French countryside *Chez Maman West* is a warm cozy indoor restaurant with very good french classics like onion soup and moules (several non-traditional flavors), their fries are delicious and their burgers are juicy and good also. Many items to choose from. **Menus and Reviews** [Chez Maman West](https://www.chezmamanrestos.com/) [Chez Maman West (Menu)](https://www.chezmamanrestos.com/menus/#entrees) [Chez Maman (Review)](https://artandentertainme.blogspot.com/2012/08/oh-crepes-at-chez-maman-west-in-san.html) **Administrative Trivia** *Chez Maman* 's menu is linked above, a meal is estimated at $35, but alcohol can easily raise that cost. *Dress is smart casual,* Each diner is responsible for their own orders and costs but we will have to consolidate and divvy up the final bill accordingly, if we cannot have separate checks. *Please bring cash or have Zelle or Apple Cash available.* **Taxes and Fees** Dining in San Francisco has a sales tax (8.625%) and probably an employee health mandate (3-10%), a tip (20%) may be automatically added, even on individual bills. I calculate each diner's orders separately unless the meal is shared or family style, and round up. **Parking and Transportation** MUNI: 6 Civic Center Muni KLMN BART: Civic Center Finding street parking in Civic Center/Hayes Valley is usually difficult. Parking garage can be found nearby (3-4 blocks) *Use event comments for Car Pooling and Ride Sharing.* *Many thanks for the photos and history from restaurant website* #EatSanFrancisco #SanFranciscoFoodies #SFFoodies *We Look Forward to Seeing you at This and Other San Francisco Foodies Events*
